Nicccccccccce one mike,
Good sharp detail, excellent colours and great bonus bug.
The DOF is spot on. If your 100th post is anything like your first 99, it will be very good, and I'm really looking forward to seeing it.
Have a great weekend Mike, Thanks for posting.

Hi Mike! Fragrant honeysuckle, one of my favourites! Thought you had us fooled, eh? That IS a bug I see, isn't it? LOL! Oh well, how could he resist such aroma? Lilacs and honeysuckles, best of the best. Lovely composition and great frame! Great POV--hope it wasn't muddy! Great job! Linda
Hi mike and excelent image inclueding the standin parasitic / hunting wasp who is trying to musle in on the picture.
As to the ident , are you sure it is Honeysuckle Lonicera sp. and not Aquilegia formosa a (Columbine) native to north america I am going by the way the flower is hanging and the spurs extending behind the stalk. have a look at this image click here .
Still a good image though TFS
Hope this is of help Robert

Hey Mike this is wonderful!
I had to look twice to see if this was really your posting....
Then I spotted it - the bug, ever so slightly concealed in the folds of this beautiful, well captured flower.
Well done and thank you!!!
Don't despair, Mike, you will get your groove back, I'm sure.
BTW, I am also looking forward to your next 100.

Showing us the softer side, Mike. :) Very nice composition and details. There had to be a bug in there or I would have doubted its authenticity. :)
Very well done.

Interesting flower Mike. Tough work with these hanging down and being bunched but I think you pulled it off well. Nice lighting and colours. The little wasp/sawfly is a bonus. Well done.

Well you did manage to sneak the bug into this one. I love the deep colors and the way the flower is hanging down, I never know how to photograph this particular flower since it is hanging down, I always want to lay under it ;-) Very nice colors and lighting.
