hello dear friends, after few days of absence from TN
here i am and what beautiful surprise for me
i see that i have reach 7000 points, it means
3500 critiques from you to my photos

to all of you 3500 times thank you

today i am coming with an image, technically it is not
a succesfull image but i love it, i was set on a rock
at the border of the river in my city (island) of Laval,
i was shooting ducks in inflight (not all succesful shots)
these Canada Geese wher at sveral hundred meters on the river,
and i heard their call and saw they are taking off,
i was in manual mode but i can shoot with out stopping,
when they pass in front of me i start to shoot them in photo,
in front the silhouette of the ground it is a very little island

from the All About Birds website :

http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/Canada_Goose.html

« Individual Canada Geese from most populations make annual
northward migrations after breeding. Nonbreeding geese,
or those that lost nests early in the breeding season,
may move anywhere from several kilometers to more
than 1500 km northward. There they take advantage of vegetation
in an earlier state of growth to fuel their molt. Even members
of "resident" populations, which do not migrate southward
in winter, will move north in late summer to molt. »

Merci

Asbed

Hello Asbed

I just had a few thousand geese fly over my house a while ago.The honks filled the air.
This is a lovely silhouette image of a fly by.
Excellent colours and use of lighting.

Hi Asbed,

I bet you heard them before you saw them!! I like the silhouettes as they fly over the water. Interesting to see them in their assorted positions. Congratulations on hitting 7000 - for good reasons you are a very popular member of TN. Here's to the next 7,000.

A chorus line of fliers...Frequent Fliers I'll wager...and an image that sticks to ya'...Like a good meal of meat and potatoes..something one never forgets on this time of the year..

Hallo Asbed
Beautiful sunset with the silhouettes of the Canada Geese clearly visible. The final light of day coming through in lovely colours in the sky is great, and very pleasing on the eye. Just as you, I also like it. Thanks for sharing.
