I laughed out loud when I saw this!
Not that your photography is laughable but the birds really look like comic puppets!
This is superb! How I wish I could have seen it! We have occasionally had a green woodpecker in the garden but this is as close as I have ever been to one!
The details are excellent, the expressions unbelievable and the composition, with the tree trunk and the woodpecker leaning backwards, perfect! A favourite, for sure! Well done!

A superb capture of an adult Pilated Woodpecker feeding its young. The POV, lighting, sharpness, timing and composition on the aspen tree are all excellent, which makes this a joy to see Rick!

This picture makes my day, Rick, I know how hard it is to take a picture of this woodpecker, they are so swift and fast! and on top of it, the babies! This is so cute, lovely, adorable! When I opened the picture, I had a cry coming out of my chest, of pleasure. Thank you Rick, your wilderness is fantastic,

This is soooooo amazing! Rick, you have a prize winner here! Look at this! I'm very impressed by this sharp and incredible capture. Just the bird alone would have been great but you show him (her) with his (her) little ones. This is one of the best Pilated Woodpecker pictures I have seen. Congratulations, you must be very proud of this capture!

Very well done
excellent capture for lovely woodpecker family. I like it very much and added it to my favourite.. everything wonderful, from timing and sharp focus to colors and composition.
Both of us use same equipments, but your results perfect. Do you use UV filtre and tripod? Many times, I have not enough sharpness this lens.
Thanks for sharing this beauty. have a nice weekend

Beautiful lighting here and the sharpness you have achieved with fantastic focus and clarity is very impressive and admirable.
I love the vertical composition and the catchlight you have managed in all the 3 eyes.I cant imagine the pleasure you must have had in getting this perfect shot and being right there to be see it in real.
I love the colours of the bird contrasting with the subtle greens around.
