|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|This was taken last year, this is the original photo, all I've done was resize & resharpen and then saved for web. (and added the border). If I can remember correctly, last march it warmed up to over 5 degrees celsius and I believe we even had a thunderstorm! It rained tremendously. After that the temperatures dropped severly to - 20 degrees, which resulted in this interesting effect. However many trees couldn't handle the weight of the ice and broke. |
(no exif info due to the save for web application).

Such a beautiful picture ! Beautiful light, beautiful blue sky, and such a peaceful, serene atmosphere. Really wonderful. I love the composition, and I also like your low POW. Very well done !

Wonderful shot, shiny and icy branches, wonderful shadows and such a good composition! Really like it, TFS!
This is wonderful photo. The way the light is defracted by the layer of ice of the tree is very beautiful and gave the ice a stunning sparkle. I love the deep blue sky and how it contrast with the rest of the photo. The snow on the ground has also been very helpfull with your photo. it allowed from some reflection of the light on the shaded area of the tree causing to show good details in that area. I am sure that it could be a bit scary to walk around here knowing that the weight of the ice could break off some larger brances.

This is stunning but it must have been dangerous. Lovely blue sky contrasting against the ice and snow. I like the vertical framing of the shot
