hello friends, this morning the luminosity was bad
but even knowing that my camera can not perform
in bad luminosity i obstinate myself (je me suis entêté)
to go and to do bird photographyng, and today
i decide to do a test with shooting at ISO800,
every photo i have shot was « infected » by very
bad digital noise, this photo was the only
one that i could give a removal of the noise...

photo shot with my Fujifilm bridge camera,
in RAW, with Flash correction + 0.7, ISO800

i am no more shooting at ISO800

from the All About Birds website :

http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/Northern_Cardinal.html

« The male cardinal fiercely defends its breeding
territory from other males. When a male sees its
reflection in glass surfaces, it frequently will spend
hours fighting the imaginary intruder.

Brighter red males hold territories with
denser vegetation, feed at higher rates,
and have greater reproductive success
than duller males. »

Merci

Asbed

Hi Asbed.
I welcome your use of ISO 800. Sometimes it is a great deal. You managed to freeze a fine bird at very nice pose. And sharpness of the image is super as well as colour rendition. You also managed to compose the image very well despite the flying object. Your in-flight series is terrific. TFS and all the best for you.
Alexei.

Hi Asbed. Not an easy thing to do when the light is so low. But you have done well. You enjoy capturing birds in flight . Bright colours and timming. well done TFS.
Nick..

Hello Asbed,
another very beautiful picture of the in-flight series, i like the vivid colours of the Red Cardinal, you have captured a wonderful posture of the bird, very well done.

Bonjour Asbed !

Hi Asbed, excellent capture of this beauty in-flight in low light condition.
TFS and cheers,
Bayram

Hi Asbed,
Simply perfect.Colors,BG and 3D effect and timing are wonderful.Have a great weekend!
Thanks for posting.

Hello Asbed
The light may have been low but you still pulled of a superbly executed capture at Iso 800. Iso 800 is rarely used in any camera due to the high noise levels it can produce especially on inflights.
Looking at the shooting details you achieved a 1/2000 shutter which you could have easily dropped to 1/500 thus creating a lower iso...perhaps Iso 200 and achieved the same sharp details on the subject and reduced the noise considerably.
I personally think that Inflight photography is a great a great challenge and you are a master at it.
My Best Regards
Billy

Beautiful...your best in flight! Perfect in many ways...and still carries that Asbed Touch!
Bob

Asbed,

Another great in flight catch. You got the color and wing motion just right. If you get a chance to look at my site tomorrow, I am posting a picture of a Cardinal just leaving the branch. The 2 shots would work well together. I like that you gave the plenty of room to fly out of the picture.

I to have trouble with noise in my pictures even at ISO 400.

Bob

Dear Asbed,
Despite of bad luminosity you could capture this beautiful bird so well panned keeping the object slightly left off centered. Very well timed shot with excellent POV & bird's wings distal blurr. TFS

Hello Asbed,
Your use of ISO 800 paid off and your noise management is successful. The result is a fine capture of a male Northern Cardinal in flight taken from a great POV with excellent timing and a striking contrast against the grey wintery BG.
Nice one and TFS!
Ivan

Ciao Asbed, great capture of fantastic red carinal in great fly, perfect focus and wonderful blurry BG, very well done, ciao Silvio

Bravo
Albert

Nicely timed in-flight capture Asbed! The Cardinal stands out nicely from the slightly duller forest background. Good job!

Bonjour Asbed!

Markus

Hi Asbed,

A good capture of the red cardinal inflight which is difficult to do. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the bird. The quality of the light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.
