One more for you to enjoy.
The Hooded Merganser is awkward on land; its legs are far back on its body as an adaptation for diving. This species feeds by surface diving after prey items. It propels itself, wings tucked close to the body, with its feet. Ducklings are able to dive at 24 hours of age, and use this skill not only to forage, but also to escape dangerous situations. Ducklings may also feed with only the head, or the entire head and body, submerged in the water.

hello Peter

excellent photo of the Hoodeed Merganser with his fish catch,
fine POV, DOF, the reflection on the water is very beautiful, TFS

Wonderful shot of this Hooded Merganser. It's got a lively look to it the way the fish is curled up and the picture is crisp and clear. I love the way the light appears to come from above in this shot due to the DOF. Nice shootin'. Trev.
