That is so cool that the nuthatch was trusting showing no fear, I had this happen when I visited Blake Island in Puget Sound when I was a teenager. I remember holding my hand out to a small bird(species unkown)and it hopped right into it. I would have to say it was one day I would never forget. Thanks for sharing the momment, it brought back a good memory. Paul :)
Such confidence on this nuthatch! How long you stayed waiting for the bird to come on your hand? It is amazing. Or maybe the birds are used with free food from the people's hands.
