hello friends, here is a photo from
my archives, this is the beaver's work

from Hinterland Who's Who website

« Beaver
This animal
- is a superb engineer: it builds
impressive dams, canals, and lodges.
- can see as well underwater as on land .
- is ungainly and slow on land,
but is graceful and strong in water.
- has influenced the history of
Canada more than any other animal.

The beaver’s life is inextricably
connected to logging—or sustenance
and for habitation. This animal cuts
down an average of 216 trees a year.
It can fell trees up to about 40 cm
in diameter. Usually a single beaver
cuts a tree, but sometimes two work
on a large one.

The beaver is a wonderful builder,
and what it builds depends on where
it lives. Its best-known structure,
the dam, is only built by beavers that
need to enlarge the underwater habitat
that will be open to them in winter.
The dam creates a pond deep enough not
to freeze to the bottom, providing storage
for winter food and year-round underwater
access to the lodge secure from predators.»

Hello Asbed,
A fine capture of the destructive/constructive work of the N. American Beaver. A nice composition taken after the snow last spring. Fine perspective.
Thanks and kind regards,

Hello Asbed,

Splendid how we can see the work of the beavers.
She get a forest small with them teeth.
Incredible, very well picture also, a very interesting note.
Very well done, TFS.

Best regards,

Hi Asbed. Very nice shot to show the effect of beavers to the nature. The composition, POV and details are great.
TFS and kind regards,

Hi Asbed.
This is an amazing work by a weaver. This is a rather large tree and rather hard for human with simple tools to cut the tree off.
Excellent find in natural setting.
Thanks for sharing and kind regards,

The devastating power of the Beaver's teeth is obvious in this Photo ! Good day friend Asbed! As a natural part of the Ecosystem this seems quite normal element in the Circle of life I think! Good endless depth of field and briliant detail. Bravo!

Hello Asbed,
nice presentation about the beaver. It is shown in details especially the fallen trees and the wilderness of the forest.
What a view to witness. We dont have beavers in my country so it is new.

Hello Asbed
Great educative shot. We cen see the destructive way of the beavers to build their nests.
TFS and regards,

Bonjour Asbed
De solides bucherons ces castors !mais comment arrivent ils a déplacer de tels troncs ?

Great! I have seen my share of these but yours is crystal clear both in photo and meaning. So good to see your groundbreaking work.

Hello Asbed,
So much better than machines felling trees and destroying the forest!! Clever animals the traces of which I've seen once. Excellent low POV and fine depth showing great details and natural colours.
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Dear friend, Asbed,
I will post a BEAVER just for you soon.
It will compliment this image.
Please permit me to "copy" this image to one of mine into a collage to show the TN viewers what they do and how they TRANSPORT HUGE LOGS to their "lodges". Please send me an e-mail to confirm that I may do this collage. Thanks in anticipation.
Great piece of photography work.
Loved your notes too.
Mario from Calgary with greetings.

Hello Asbed,
Interesting environment captured here, amazing how industrious they are although that is what causes clashes with humans at times. Thanks for sharing this Asbed.

Bonjour Asbed,

Saludos Asbed: J. Ignasi.

Hallo Asbed,
a very interesting picture of the wild animal behaviour, excellent POV and nice composition
