Hi Asbed,
Probably you don't fully like animal portraits, but this one is stunning! Great sharpness and compo, so are colors. Probably the small background noise should have been removed with software, but otherwise an excellent post. Congrats and tfs.

You are right friend Asbed, I just sense that this type of photography is not in your nature, but good surprise with accurate focus on the Rabbit eye with incredible clarity and detail. Fantastic depth of field and colors. The image seems a bit tight in this frame once again! Have a great day and thanks for sharing my friend !

Yes, as to your notes....when I first saw this I thought how unusual for you. Having said that, this shows that you most certainly can do it when the times call for it.

While working many years for newspapers there were plenty of assignments which I didn't like, but somehow it all ended up ok. I must admit my work on those calls was not as up to speed as is yours here,

Maybe not your kind of photo, but I like it. Fantastic sharpness and details. The grass is a bit noisy. Excellent choice of composition. Very beautiful natural colours and a good DOF. Very nice catchlight in the eye.

Peter Cottontail up close and personal. Some don't like portrait shots I do. I think they definatley have their place. This is rabbit has a great face with a lot character and the eye, wow, the window to the soul. You were up close and you still managed to get some grass in. Well done.

You have produced a very cute portrait of the charming animal. May be cropping is a bit strong but it is matter of taste. Details are simply stunning and well as lights and colors. I also like dark BG as a canvas for this sweet model. TFS and all the best.

Le lapin est bien placé dans le cadrage. la prise de vue rapprochée permet de voir les détails et les couleurs du lapin. Le flou de l'arrière-plan met en évidence le lapin. La lumière a un bel effet sur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Hi Asbed,

I'm with you on the portraits. I like animals shown more with their natural environment & in harmony with nature.

This shot has so much character though - that is hard not to fall in love with it. The Cottontail with blue sky reflected in an eye that is watching the camera as much as the camera is watching it.

Expression as tense as a heavily preyed upon animal could be. Composition wonderful & background color - a vivid green fading to black exemplifying both the beauty & danger of the moment.
