Hello friends, after a long absence here
i am again with some few photos.

As i always write you need a pointing dog
to can found a woodcock in the woods,
this is the woodcock of Ranger's my
pointing dog 301th pointing in career in
hunting season on the American Woodcock

from Minnesota NRCS website

« Fall migration begins in early October and
peaks by mid-month when the first heavy
frosts freeze the ground or enough snow
makes feeding on earthworms difficult.

During this time, birds may literally be here
today and gone tomorrow. How long woodcock
remain in Minnesota during the fall migration
depends on the weather.

Most have left the state by early November.
Minnesota's resident woodcock begin to arrive
on their wintering grounds in eastern Texas
and southern Louisiana in late November.

If temperatures are exceptionally cold, they will fly
to the Gulf of Mexico or even into northern Mexico. »

Bonsoir Asbed,

Le flou des ailes indique le mouvement. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleur de la bécasse d'Amérique en vol. la bonne luminosité fait ressortir les couleurs. Bonne soirée.

Hello Asbed,
Nice to see a post from you once again. I see you are hunting the elusive Woodcock again. I believe I flushed one this past fall while out walking the woods behind the house. It was already dark and this bird took off from the ground in front of me. It was a rather wet area of the field and it headed straight up and away.
For as quick as they take off you still managed to get a pretty decent shot of this particular fellow before he left the area for higher ground

Nice to see a new photo with your characteristic technique Asbed! Interesting photo with perfect timing, very good composition and wonderful colors. The movement effect is fantastic.

Hi Asbed. Nice to see you back. I see you managed to get a Woodcock in flight. With the long beak, you would think this bird is a piper bird on the shore. It looks like some of the wing is transparent. It must help him go unseen. Very nice capture with the wingspread. TFS Trevor

Hello Asbed,
Once again your fine timing and panning has given a good result. The Woodcock is well seen with the raised wing position that shows the warm tints of the underside of the body plumage against the autumnal BG.
Thanks and enjoy your Sunday.

Hallo Asbed
It is great to see a posting from you once again. I did not even have to open the thumbnail to recognise a photo in the true CelticRanger's style of presentation. The long bill and the colours of the Woodcock's tailpiece is seen clearly in spite of the movement in the image. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Hi Asbed,
I'm really happy, that I can see You again!!! Welcome!

Bonjour Asbed,

Hello Asbed,
well placed and very fast shot by you to give the view of this flying bird.
The blurry composition to show the swift and fast motion.

Nice inflight capture, Asbed. The signature shot from you is welcomed here. Keep them coming and may you have a wonderful year ahead!
