[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Getting tired of bears yet? This inland Grizzly Bear was captured digging roots and when I saw a root sticking out of the corner of his mouth it reminded me of photos of Winston Churchill. I find inland Grizzlies much nicer looking compared to the coastal grizzlies, although they are smaller on average due to the abundant amounts of protein the coastal bears get during the salmon runs.

Hello Rick,
Excellent photo of this Grizzly taken from a very attractive low POV. Good sharpness and natural colours. Maybe the white balance can be improved a bit. Fine composition.

Hello Rick,
yes, I can see the connection!
This is just fantastic, the bears pose combined with the super sharp details all superbly framed by the tree and foliage are breathtaking,I am in awe of your achievement.
Regards Les.

Most beautiful Rick
perfect compo and nice cigar

Perfect shot, too bad he's smoking pot!!

Hi Rick,
really nice photo and interesting note. Very good point of view. Amazing colours.
Thanks for sharing,

Hi Rick this photo looks very good and it does have a charm of it's own. This is smokey the bear so to speak as it has that root hanging out the side of it's mouth and as you have said sort of looks like Churchill's stogie.Luckily bears do not smoke or we wouldn't get see too many of them out in the wild. When I first saw this photo Churchill didn't come to mind but for me a rather interesting Briton by the name of Isambard Kingdom Brunel did and I'll give you a cut and paste to the Wikipedia article about him-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I.K._Brunel .Great Britons aside you have up-loaded a photo of a very healthy looking bear and it's fur coat is so wonderful to look at.The bear seems to be fairly relaxed at your presence as you have great eye contact with it.I must say the image does look a little ashen but I know it was been cloudy lately here in the west so I look is a little muted.Thank you Rick for sharing with us all this fine looking bear,he or she is wonderful to behold.
