Great Gray Owl

The Great Gray Owl's normal winter range is the far northern boreal forests of Canada. This winter we have a small "interruption" into SE Ontario and Quebec. |

Hello Paul, and welcome to TN.
This is an incredible first post. The Great Gray Owl is presented in outstanding detail and gorgeous natural colors. Love those big yellow eyes which capture your attention immediately. Excellent exposure and wonderful DOF.
I remember last year when the Snowy Owl made a big stir in the birding world as it seemed to migrate far south from it's normal range. Perhaps this year will be the same for this beautiful species. Superb job!!

clear, sharp with nice colours - great. Good work under difficult conditions (snow!)

Hi Paul,
Welcome to TN most importantly. Fabulous debut photo, I very rarely saw such impressive one from someone who's a rookie on the site! Excellent exposure management, perfect details on the owl while no blown out parts on the snow. Masterful job. Hats off of you!
Best regards, László
