Hello friends, the photo in the thumbnail
it is much better than this one here bigger !

Here I have lost on the image quality because
I have done a heavy cropping up to 80%,
the reason of that cropping was that in the
left side of the image, just outside, there is
a big tree completely out of focus and because
that he was disturbing the view of this
lovely flight pose of the Great Gray Owl.

So I was forced to do a heavy cropping
and the heavy cropping did that I think
I lost a little bit on the image quality
because the bird was already at a distance,
if the bird would be closer to me, even with
a heavy cropping like yesterday's posting
I would not loose on the image quality.

1/2500s f/8.0 ISO1000
50mm (35mm eq:75mm)
with up to 80% of cropping

Hello Asbed

Normally you tend to have your flying birds wrapped up in lots of surroundings. This ones different, almost a closeup of this owl in flight with some fantastic frontal light and super diagonal wing spread.

Despite the heavy cropping, you have retained most of the details with good clarity.
I like the POV and wing position, the eye contact and the natural colours against a blue sky. I would be pleased with such a shot.
