Hamilton, Ontario has a reputation as a "steel city". Its environs, however, contain some wonderful natural beauty and the Hendrie Trail inside the expansive Royal Botanical Gardens is home to a variety of beautiful birds living in the wild. This little guy impressed me with his tenacity.

Neville,
These birds are truly tenacious.
This is truly a well focused image.
The colours have blended in well and you have done a delightful job to register this episode.
It is quite funny to watch them collect their food.
Warm regards from COLD COLD Alberta,
Mario.

Hi Neville, Fun moment captured of this little bird with big peanut.
It looks very cold at your area, Ontario. Here, we are not much better in Quebec, very cold and windy with a lot of snow too. Nice natural colours and great tones. Best regards
Anna

Hello Nrville,
Welcome to TN.
Beautiful species.Colour and details seem natural and its active moment made it more beautiful.

In my opinion,a horizontal frame would be more effective to show its natural habitat where from (s)he is collecting his food and a detail NOTE about the species would attract the members a lot.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us,
Regards and have a nice time,
Srikumar

HI Neville, beautiful capture of this small friend with a nut on the beak, great details, colors and exposure from your very long winter,i like it!Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hey Neville! Fill out your profile, add your photo and tell us a little more about you, it's always nice to know a little more new partners ...

Cold the beautiful tones of your photo, I liked the original composition where the bird occupies the middle strip of the box almost edge to edge of a tall rectangle, above and below the snow.

Congratulations, man!

A hug from Argentina;
