[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello friends, Northern Forests Ghost it is the Great Gray Owl,
souvenirs of 2 Great Gray Owls in winter of 2013, I can say
the most rich and magical experience I had of bird in-flight
photography and I have to mention it only with a little
focal length lens, the Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 that sometimes
being closer to the subject I had closer shots and other
times environmental shots like this one.

1/1600s f/7.1 ISO1000 50mm (35mm eq:75mm).

« A huge owl of the boreal forest and western mountains,
the Great Gray Owl feeds on rather small rodent prey. »

Merci.

Asbed

Hi Asbed, interesting note about the specie and the exif data too,the pic is fantastic,a great in flight capture of this gray owl, impressive sharpness and spctacular scenery too! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

The distance from the bird gives us the surroundings and a real sense of what it looks like as it flies through this forested areas. It must be quite remarkable to see one of these in flight in broad daylight.

Ciao Asbed, fantastic capture, magic ambientation, perfect focus, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio
