Hello friends, the Double-crested Cormorant.

1/2500s f/7.1 ISO1250 50mm (35mm eq:75mm).

« The gangly Double-crested Cormorant is
a prehistoric-looking, matte-black fishing bird
with yellow-orange facial skin. Though they look
like a combination of a goose and a loon, they are
relatives of frigatebirds and boobies and are a common
sight around fresh and salt water across North America—
perhaps attracting the most attention when they stand
on docks, rocky islands, and channel markers, their wings
spread out to dry. These solid, heavy-boned birds are
experts at diving to catch small fish. »

Merci.

Hi Asbed, this is a decent looking image of the cormorant as the colour is good and is the sharpness.I wish you had, had a longer lens on your camera so as to capture the bird's blue eyes.A nice addition to TN and thank you for sharing it with us.

Hello Asbed,
An attractive image of this cormorant raising it's wings to the warm rays of the sun. I like the reflection in the water and the way you can see the under water plants. It chose a nice perch and gave you it's best pose.....your lens did the rest. Well done!!
