Black-Capped Chickadee
(Poecile atricapillus)

More Info on the Black-Capped Chickadee.

I try to photograph those little birds in flight since more than a year. It is a difficult challenge. It is my best missed one until now.
Maybe next Christmas I will give you a better gift.

My Best Wishes and thank you for looking.

p.s.: I have put a picture of the "eternal" Christmas Tree of my father and consequently of my family as a workshop.

I love this shot, Luc. The silky translucence of the wing feathers is fantastic, and the display of feathers all spread-out is magnifique. A very unusual POV that makes for a very interesting capture. Very sharp details and excellent light. Thank you, Luc, for all your wonderful pictures. They have certainly given me much pleasure throughout the year. Warmest holiday wishes to you and your father. : )

Hi Luc , it may be a miss to you but still not a bad capture, I like the transucense of the moving wing ends, and the detail in the feathers of the back, flash illumination might of given more details in the head.

Great capture my friend.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I don't think this is a 'missed' one at all. You show us amazing beauty in the wings, they are quite translucent and silky, as we can see through some of them. She looks like an angel with her wings spread out.
And your dad's eternal tree is lovely, so prettily decorated and I love the nativity scene there. Tell him I said so please and wish him a happy Christmas ffrom New Zealand

Wow, Luc, that's the best shot of a flying bird I've ever seen, you catched just the perfect moment. The feathers are like silver and have a bautiful glance. Also excellent sharpness, PERFECT!
Thank you very much and have wonderful Christmas-days, bye

Surprenante photo, les détails dans le plumage et le bec de l'oiseau qui est ouvert félicitations, une prise rarissime et dificile à effectuer.

Merci Luc et joyeuse fête à toi et toute tes proches.

Joseph!

This is definitely a different perspective on your capture, it seems one had to have the ability to fly to get this top shot. It is a super photo and a rare one at that. Merry Christmas and thanks for sharing the image of your Christmas tree of 20 years of tradition. :)

Hola Luc, interesante fotografia con un punto de vista muy poco habitual, una excelente exposicion de las distintas texturas y un encuadre perfecto.
Felices fiestas y gracias por compartir tu eterno arbol de navidad con todos nosotros ;)

Excellent capture of this chickadee in flight, Luc!

Not an easy shot to get as they are so very quick...

Thank you for sharing it and the wonderful ws of your family's "eternal" Christmas Tree.

Hi Luc,
I really like the unique POV here. The light has highlighted great detail in the wing feathers. Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Luc, despite the difficulty, I do like this one.

It is, at least, a different shot.

Nice perspective and effect upon the wings.

Beautiful job capturing this little guy in flight Luc! It looks really, really good!
I have a hard enough time getting them perched, I couldn't imagine an in flight shot. But, this one is quite excellent!
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Luc,
Great capture with good timing.
Thank you and have a happy new year!

Well composed top view closeup Luc. Very good detail of the plumage this close. Well done.
Thank You!

It has an artistic look to it my friend. I like the unusual POV and the details are tack sharp. The movement blurr on the wings adds a nice effect.
