[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This image puts me in mind of the traditional song from which I took it's title:

Shady grove my little love
Shady grove I say
Shady grove my little love
Bound for shady grove

Wish I was in shady grove
Sittin in a rockin chair
And if those blues would bother me
I'd rock away from there

You can hear a sample of a beautiful traditional bluegrass rendering by Doc Watson here (song number 16).

Some of the lyrics and the essentials of the melody were later adapted by Quicksilver Messenger Service in the 1960s on their classic album of the same name (hear a sample from the song here).

Whether you prefer the gentler old time sound of the traditional song or the more energetic San Francisco sound of QSM, this shady grove would be a wondeful place to enjoy it. Or maybe just to turn the music off altogether and listen to nothing but the grove itself.
