[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Butterfly #4 has been caught at an awkward moment. Please pardon the indecency!

I beleive this to be a Tiger Longwing, but I am basing that knowledge on Viv's recent post of a similar beast. Please see my first butterfly post for information about the location.

PP: Noise ninja, Smart sharpen on the butterfly only in PS, Re-introduced green into the leaf, Slight crop.

On a personal note, this series of butterfly pictures resulted in the death of my Coolpix 5000. Apparently they don't like humidity. I hope to buy a refurb Coolpix 8800 later today.

Great shot!
Nature has this kind of moments...
A bit OE at the right side of the photo.
Very good POV!
Very good colours!
Very good DOF and details!

Hi Josh

Sharp details, good clarity and well composed. Excellent POV and good exposure. Well done!

Hi Josh,
Well timed capture to catch this little guy in the middle of things. Your exposure, framing and DOF are all very good. My only nit pick would be that you can tell that noise reduction sw has been run on the image and a little bit of detail has been lost. I use Noise Ninja and always run it on a copied layer, then once fine tuned I add a layer mask and paint out areas that are important to the image that I don't want compromised with the noise reduction.

Perfect shot of this butterfly. Excellent colours and sharpness. Nice background and composition. Thanks
