[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Sometimes, it looks like the end...but if yoou can look closely, you will see that it is just a new beginning...

Thanks to mumek for the name of the plant.
It is effectivly a Asclepias syriaca, the common name is Milkweed. In spring, you will see flower as big balls. what you see here is the "bag" hat holds the seeds of the plant. In fall, it breaks to let the seeds go with the wind.

This is Asclepias syrica
common milkweed. Beautiful macro with nice colors.

Interesting picture Nadine. Nice colours and composition but I agree with Kirsten - it would be nice to know some more about the plant especially you seem to know it.
