[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Cedar fences are constructed by farmers on Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Canada. These fences are common on the Island. The Red Cedar is the most commonly seen tree on Manitoulin Island. It grows in abundance and is used for construction such as these fences and other wood work and decks.
Because of the lack of wildlife seen during this time, I have been focusing on scenes such as this. This is a B.& W. as it was not a sunny day, plus the color had hardly any difference. This was taken with the S5000 hand held.
I hope you like this one.

In photoshop, adjusted levels, greyscale, USM at low level a gradiant filter I produced and framing with name.

My kind of shots- stark, dark, moody to a point. Shows the fence but also the stark contrast between the trunks and the snow.
Good job, it works for me.

Hi Mike! I hate snow but your picture looks great. Almost black and white, clear and sharp.

Well mike, keep on focussing on these shots, I love them. BW was an excellent choice here and the contrast which BW relies on is great.

Excellent job and thanks for posting

Hi Mke

Hi Mike,

I think you made the right decision to take this on in B&W. Good composition with the hedge running through the picture.
