WRITING ON STONE PROVINCIAL PARK, ALBERTA CANADA
There are three beautiful Coulee's at Writing On Stone, Davis, Humphry and Police. In this photo is the Davis coulee with the Sweet Grasshills in the background. The Davis Coulee is the shorter of the coulees, but still hold a abundance of life both animal and vegetation.
Native artifacts are abundant in this area. Petroglyphs and pictographs are everywhere. Guided tours are available to teach people the meaning of this rockart.
Several species reptiles that make their home at Writing On Stone are at risk, the Horned Lizard, Rattlesnake, Lepoard Frog. These species are disappearing from loss of habitat due to farming and other factors.
