[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is my attempt to catch butterflys the other day. They were flying everywhere but seems as only this one Monarch was lighting. I don't know much about butterflys as I was amazing at one point to see about 10 little teenie ones and I couldn't get my camera on fast enough to catch them. I'm guessing this is an older Monarch? I still think hes beautiful as he was opening his wings in the sun.

Hi Donna,
Exellent macro picture.Wonderful colours and composition.Well done my friend.
Best regards.

Hi Donna!
What a badly battered wing this Monarch butterfly has! Or could it be one of those Tiger butterflies?
Still, it is a wonderful capture with good POV, DOF, colors and sharpness.
Well done and TFS.

Hi Donna,
it was a long summer for this beauty.
I love to see also this one, it's a noble one.
Now we have autumn here in Germany, I'm a little sad that all the insects are going to die now. Thanks for the excellent shot, bye bye and greetings

Hi Donna

Lovely shot, nice composition and beautiful colours, what a shame about its wing, I seen a Peacock the other day and it had hardly had any wing left on one side and it was still fluttering about.

TFS Hilary :o)

Hello Donna,
A fine close-up of this poor thing, severly damaged through the battle for life...
Very well composed and with good details!

Hi Donna,

A shame about the wing on this lovely butterfly, but the shot is excellent.
Beautiful colours and details.
