[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the last picture of autumn that I will post for the 2006 season. I am now out of pictures. If only it could stop raining each week-end here!!!
Again this is St-Bruno National Park. This is a trail going downhill towards a main trail and also towards the observation deck at 'Lac Seigneurial'. What I like here the row of trees on each side that gives a nice perspective of the trail and of course the trail filled with dead leaves. You can almost smell them!
As usual, I used the polirized filter for crisp colors and balance out any light reflection. Taken on a monopod with a average aperature.

PP: Tiny ajustement of the levels and sharpness in RAW, crop about 10%, converted to JPEG and resize for posting.

Great shot. Like the composition of the shot.

I always love this kinda pictures because i will never get to see them here in Singapore. Even the late autumn colors make such nice pictures! This looks so romantic and peaceful. I love how you captured the pOV and the colors. :)
Very natural.
Thanks for sharing this.

This is really nice Patrick. Polarizer seems to have done a good job. Do you mean it doesn't rain the other 5 days of the week....No Fair! I seem to remember seeing the sun once! : P

Your picture makes the trail look very inviting!

Your note makes me ready to try a polarizing filter.

Excellent work!

Hello Patrick,
Beautiful carpet of autumn leaves!
Good leading lines but most of all a wonderful light!
The contrasty tree trunks stand out very well among the beautiful colours!

Hi Patrick
So sad to hear that the weather is so bad there...i sure hope it impoves soon, for it would definately br a pity not have a break of your posts :)
Anyway, another superb fall tableau! The vatiaties of tones and colors is impessive. The leaves on the ground look great and contrast the lovely light colors of the ones still in the trees.
Also the DOF is again great, drawing a very beautiful composition.

Bravo and TFS

Hi Patrick,
Excellent autumn image. Beautiful colors and great sharpness.
TFS, José M.

Allo Patrick,

Merci,

Hi Patrick,
A very beautiful photo, with a perfect POV. It really makes me want to go down the path and explore the forrest. I especially like the top part of the photo, where you used the smaller branches to frame to path. Great colors and depth.

superbe sous bois d' automne. Thomas

Salut Patrick

Hi dear Patrick ,
very nice.
excellnet colors.
very well composition.
nice sharpness.

Bonjour Patrick!

What an excellent capture of a BEAUTIFUL trail. I especially like how the trail "pinches" towards the bottom, but then carries on past the intruding tree(s).
Great colours! Golden leaves in the canopy, rusty browns on the ground. I can smell the Autumn!

Une excellente exposition! Merci beaucoup.
