[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a Semipalmated Plover (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semipalmated_Plover) found at Riviere-Ouelle near Kamouraska on the beach of the St-Lawrence River. I was able to get near of this one. They are quit nervous and can move quickly.

Bravo!

Hello Francois,
Excellent capture of the Semi-palmated Plover, one I've never seen in real life, but similar and related to our Ringed Plover.
This shot is sharp and well composed and presented its natural environment.
TFS, regards, Ivan

Hi Francois.
Excellent capture.Nicely composed and sharp this shot.Very good POV and DOF,nice contrast with dark BG.Nice done this presentation.
TFS and greetings Milos

hi francois!
very good photo on a nice bird
well composed and great sharpness

Very nice up close shot on the plover Francois. I'd be tempted to crop out a bit of that bottom blur though.

I love this little bird and I really like the jumble of seaweed on which he is standing. A couple of things are distracting too. One is the out of focus foreground which acts as a kind of barrier between the viewer and the subject. The other is the bright over exposed object behind the bird. It grabs too much attention. I tried a workshop just for fun.

Thanks for sharing. It really is a nice image.

Hi Francois

Well done on a great shot. Lovely details you show here. Good POV, nice catchlight in the eye. TFS.

Nice shot of this rare bird (in europe).
Excellent details and light.

Hi Francois,
Delightful capture of a very cute little bird. Exposure and sharpness is excellent. I find the BG rock a little distracting. For these small types of shorebird I try and get on the ground so as to throw the BG out of focus. Have a look at some of my (or Mazer's) dotterel images for examples.
