Hi Jaak,
The river and misty gives a very nice subject for a excellent picture, also a little bit spooky, a lovely gift to your mother-in-law.
Beautiful composition and nice colours too!
Best regards,
John.
NICEly DONE!!
Really great shot of both the sunrise AND the "boiling" sea!!
I liked the composition of this photo, with Mother Nature filling in the blank spots!! You did well with the clarity of the background, while keeping the foreground, though very dark, focussed.
Nice job in all aspects!!
Hi Jay,
You know if you would warm up you wouldn't have all that fog in your picture, LOL. Great job with this capture Jay thanks.

Hi Jay
Elle est très belle cette prise avec ce beau paysage avec de belles couleurs et sa brûme. Il ne doit pas manquer grand chose pour voir la glace se former.
Tu souhaiteras bonne fête a ta belle mêre de ma part.

Hello Jay
Your dedication sure paid off.I love the misty sunrise, birds and all.The colours are well saturated and the reflections on the water are very beautiful. The silhouette of the foreground balances the shot nicely.TFS

Hi Jay
Another really beautiful post from you!
The warm sunny light here is excellent and it almost seem like us, the viewers, can feel it while it is rizing.
The timing is great, the POV is exceptional and the composition(s) are lovely.
I also love the misty feel of the shot and the contrasting dark FG, too.
A delightful picture...well worth the brrrrrrrr :))
Bravo and TFS

Hi Jay
Ha-ha-ha, or should I say shame? A man who has a balaclava and doesn't wear it at -18°C sure are either stubborn and looking for trouble, or maybe old age is taking its toll and he has become very forgetful. I just hope your mother in law will appreciate this dedication so much that she would tend to you when you catch a dreadful flu.
You succeeded in showing the fog very well in this shot. The obvious cold that created this ‘boiling & steaming’ effect is well contrasted by the warm colours of the rising sun. The composition is great and the exposure was well handled.
Very well done and TFS.
Regards
Loot
