What a nice winter scene! I don't even feel cold because of the warm light in this shot!
I am sorry to hear about the loss of yet another piece of natural land. Too bad developers are not required to plant trees in return for the bulldozed ones. If more people would require that, when they purchase a plot, we would perhaps get somewhere!
Nicely shot! Good detail and focus. Tfs, Jay

We have the same trouble here. You see these stunning native trees and ferns growing in lovely areas, and then one day - the bulldozers have been and gone!
I like your picture Silke with the snow on the spruce branches. Well seen and captured. The colours are good too, TFS

I'm pleased to find a new post from you. Wonderful light, beautiful colours and a quite effective way of showing this spruce against the snowy landscape.
Sadly human endless expansion devastated this calm and beautiful place. I hope one day population will decrease!

This is a shame how forest, wood and natural habitats are so easily destroyed without almost anybody to protest. I saw on the news yesterday that 30 coyotes were captured and killed for having being to close to a farm... I barely knew that we have coyotes here. Couldn't they just relocate them? No, it is too much problems and it is too expensive… I called the Fauna Minister and they told me that Coyote’s hunting is permitted and they are no quota… Meanwhile, there is an overpopulation of deer…Find the mistake…
Anyway, this is a beautiful macro with excellent details and exposure. I love the way you composed this picture. Well seen. Thanks,

Hello Silke! Well, I have a new wallpaper for my desktop! This is so beautiful, and it comes across as almost 3 dimensional on my monitor! The green is so soothing, and your whites are actually white! I mention that because I am finding snowy whites a real challenge--sounds like a laundry commercial. DOF is great! I am so glad you posted this, especially under the circumstances. You did a great job! Thanks, Linda

Hello Silke !
It is so sad to hear that this beautiful place has been destroyed - unfortunately it is the same in France, each year more forests ans each time I take a picture I wonder if this piece of nature will still exist in some years.
Anyway, I'm glad you saved this beautiful tree on your picture. Sharp details, beautiful colors, beautiful composition, it's a lovely picture of something that does no longer exist but that we should never forget...

You have a creative vision. I really admire the way you isolated the snow-covered spruce branches against a gray/white background with perfect depth-of-field. Great color and sharpness, too. I'm sorry to read about the spruce but yes, developers have no limit to their greed.
