Red Fox (female): a profile

"Lady in Red". Callie so called her in a previous word which he sent me. He also wrote: "She has a lovely twinkle in her eye, and she also has her own fur coat..." and "did you asked her for the dance?"
No, I did not asked her for a dance but I asked her to pose for me and she took this pose.
It is the seventh photo of her that I post and it will not probably be the last one. I think that I begin to love her. A sort of love without expectation of return, hopeless of return. (I am wrong here. With the photos I have a return.)
I wish that I troubles you not too much with these photos and these comments but I only hope you like her as much as I like her.
Callie is completely right to say that we indeed have to know our subjects to photograph them well. We have to dedicate them many of our time so that several times the luck smiles to us.
Several times too I feel as a predator who observes patiently his preys and waits the good moment to capture them. It is the animal in me which redoes surface. I become an images' hunter...

As a workshop I also posted a comparison of aperture with my macro lens.

"I've never seen you looking so lovely as you did tonight
I've never seen you shine so bright..."

Luc, your picture is as good as Chris de Burgh song! I love her eyes and lightplay in her fur.

Great photo Luc! It so pretty and so cute. You should do some bill for ecologists :-)
You could be sure of success!

These fox shots are amazing Luc.I wonder how you get so close to these wild animals.I'm sorry I've been a bit slack with my critques lately.I'll try to catch up on some of the photos I've missed. (They seem to come so fast nowadays)

Good fur detail and lovely colors. TFS!

Another great POV with those magnificent eyes..Very good details & sharpness again here..And yes, I too feel like the predator when I'm out there after the shot..I fire a new weapon - but it requires an even steadier hand it seems! Thanx Luc.

Very nice fox lady portrait Luc, perfect details. I have seen fox five times only, but distance between us was about 50 meters always :-(

Anaother amazing close up Luc, these are beautiful creatures. Lovely intimate feeling here and the details and lighting are terrific. Well done.

Luc, If I had my camera with me yesterday afternoon when I went to pick up my daughter from school, I would have had a good.
Well done on this capture, excelent view and details. Excelent composition.

In this photo, I see the look that has coined the phrase: "Sly as a fox" It is written all over her. For some, perhaps playful. For unsuspecting prey , perhaps fatal.
Beautiful capture, Luc. Thank you.
Also for the WS, good teaching tool, by good teacher.

Great Luc, very nice lady. I'd like to shoot some as well.
Well done.

Very good picture Luc. Clear details and sharpness. Never get tired of looking at such good work. TFS

Hi Luc
The wiskers are all in here - it makes a big difference to me, visually.
She stays beautiful
A comment - crop off about an inch on the top - loose the dark patch where you can see her ear, and see how the intensity of her gaze improves, as well as the overall visual impact!

Very nice face of the fox, really nice sharpness and colours and very, very close up, that's nice done !
