A great capture of this blue jay,only when I saw this shot I had a feeling to turn the picture 90 CCW and get a vertical composition,so I had a try as ws,well done and TFS

Hello JeanPaul,

What a great capture! This magnificent bird is almost impossible to look bad in a picture!
The composition is very good even if the bird is placed more or less in the center of the frame. You worked around this by having the jay's head off the center, close to the right third of the image. The colors are brilliant and the contrast is great. Excellent blue-white-black combination! The details are excellent and sharpness is very good. One minor thing though, I would have preferred a softer backgound but I think this was impossible to achieve in those conditions.
The image was very well exposed, with details clearly visible in both highlights and shadows and the catchlights in the eye of the blue jay are an asset. The frame is also appropriate and compliments your picture. Congratulations and TFS!
