Mexican bluewing (Myscelia ethusa) is a species of butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It is found from Mexico to northern Colombia, and occasionally in southern Texas, U.S.A.
The wingspam is 64-76 mm
The larvae feed on Dalechampia species, and adults feed on rotting fruit.

What a gorgeous butterfly your have posted, the colors and markings are stunning to view. I love the bright iridescent blue colors edged in black bands.
Taken from an attractive angle and displaying much detail. Great exposure and excellent DOF. Well done!!
