Axillary flower, solitary or in bundles of two or three flowers, white petals and 2 to 2.2 cm in diameter.
Puan (Muntingia calabura) is the local name of a small tree in the genus Muntingia, family Muntingiaceae, order Malvalaes, native to tropical America. It can be found from southern Mexico to Brazil and is the only known species in the genus. The tree is 3 to 8 m tall with tiered and slightly drooping branches. The trunk measures about 20 cm in diameter.

¡Amigo! ¡Qué bárbaro este retrato de la flor de la Muntingia calaubra! Los detalles en los pétalos blancos son magníficos, gracias a que la has captado en la sombra pero con la luz exacta para que cada mínimo aspecto de esta maravilla se aprecie con precisión. Felicitaciones, Pedro.
