Sula nebouxii (blue-footed booby) = Pájaro Bobo

In the areas of the Ocean Pacific is these beautiful birds called birds blue paws or Pájaros Bobos that cohabit with the pelicans and they are part of the beautiful natural landscape that one can enjoy when being transported to this place through a walk for boat in the area of the Port or Jetty of San Blas in the state of Nayarit.

San Blas is an area with beautiful beaches. For my it is very interesting to have known this bird and me to ask to my which the function of the color of the blue paws will be?

Investigating something more envelope this bird found the following information:

Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Subphylum: Vertebrata
Class: Aves
Order: Pelecaniformes
Family: Sulidae
Genus: Sula
Species: Sula nebouxii

The blue-footed booby breeds on several arid islands off the western coasts of tropical America, Mexico, and northern South America.

The blue-footed booby inhabits arid islands in the Pacific ocean

Other Comments
The blue-footed booby got its name from the spanish word bobo (Pájaro Bobo), which means stupid fellow. Its lack of fear and clumsiness on land has made the species vulnerable to man.

A nice composition with the boobies, Ninfa. :) Somehow it doesn't sound right. The horizon that is not on level is my only nit in this shot. Well done. I did a WS to correct this.

Good one Ninfa good to see them combined with their natural enviroment, and boy the blue feet really do show up even at this distance. I seem to rember that they use the blue of the feet as part of a display in mating ritual bright colours like these are usually about attraction of a mate or to frighten an enemy away.
