[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This Red Macaw was part of an interior "free flight" open exhibit with a mix of natural diffused light overhead and some artificial light.
The light level dictated a higher ISO (500) than I would have prefered to get the desirable DOF thus a bit loss of sharpness and detail. In PS5, I color corrected for the mixed lighting and applied NIK noise reduction plus much sharpening as possible before getting that "oversharpened pixelized look."
I did try single-image HDR processing but was disatified with the blown out color esepcially in the red feathers.
I cropped the image in a vertical format to show the entire macaw and the branches. |

Very nice! Good sharpness, colours and feather detail
