|Looking out the back window of the house a couple of American Red Squirrels climbing the bird feeder to feast on the bird food the neighbors had put out. Or perhaps it was meant as a squirrel feeder too.|

You don't say what your aperture was for this shot or the lens used, but I would suggest the widest aperture you have - to give more blur to the background.
Additionally, watch out for what's in and what's out of the frame. (I do this all the time - which is why I notice it!). The bird feeder pole extends just out of the top of the frame and there's a stray branch coming in from the right.These things tend to distract the eye.
Lastly, a crop to straighten out the left edge (fence)would remove the vertical black line on the left.
All that said, I love the squirrel and feeder sharp and warmly colored - just left of center. What a great capture of this little guy!
