Hello Carol Lynn, and welcome to TN.
A great first post of a beautiful Shelflike or Polypore mushroom. I like the composition you chose which gives us a good view of the surrounding habitat in which this particular fungi is growing in. The sunlight brings out the beautiful natural colors in this fine shot. You achieved sharp focus and very nice DOF. Well done!!

Hi Carol Lynn,
Nice shot of Polyporus squamosus (Huds.) Fr.. Probably brightness is just a bit more than the optimal (in my opinion), but a good photo generally. Thanks for sharing, and even more importantly, welcome to TN.
Best regards, László
