Hi Larry,
I am in two minds here, because the animal is in captivity, even though there is no sign of the enclosure, and does she really have a purple tongue? However, I like the composition a lot and it is a good image irrespective. It deservesd the marks given.

Hi Larry,
He has a kind of small mane. His skull is also built like a male. I wonder if that could be a castrated male. Those are frequent in zoo. They normally totally loose their mane thought.

This is a great portrait of a lioness. Maggie is indeed a beautiful animal and has some lovely features that are well seen. One can see that this animal is well been looked after as the condition of the fur looks healthy. Her eyes are shining and even the inside of her mouth looks healthy. She really is a pretty animal.
