The State Flower of Minnesota, the Showy Lady's Slipper (Cypripedium reginae) is one of 43 orchid species that grow in the state.

The flower may produce a half-million seeds a year, as fine as flour dust and live up to 100 years old.

This Specimen was photographed at the Como Park Conservatory in St. Paul MN, USA. ISO 800, + 0.7, at 90mm (value corrected), cropped to straighten and sharpened.
