I decided to post the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail in an open wing pose. These large butterflies love to visit our butterfly bushes and are always a pleasure to view.

For some odd reason I didn't see many Tiger Swallowtails last year, but there seem to be plenty of them this season.

With a wingspan of 3 1/2 to 5 1/2 inches, Tiger Swallowtails make an impressive sight as they flit about the clover fields in search of nectar

Ciao Ron, great macro of fantastic butterfly, splendid sharpness, wonderful natural colors and fine details, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

These are truly gigantic butterflies, Ron.
Your picture of this one poised on a pretty perch with its wings fully open makes my day.
Immaculate image touching the zenith of perfection.

Hello Ron
une superbe macro, belle mise en valeur de ce papillon de grande beauté.

Hello Ron,
Excellent photo of a very nice specie close to Scarce Swallowtail, found here in Europe.....Of course the drawings are different but the shape and colors are the same.....This specimen is superb with the colorful drawing on the wings.

Hi Ron,

The flowers are helping to frame the butterfly. The point of view is showing the details of the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly. It clear and sharp. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.
