[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The weather has been very unusual this winter here in Ohio. One day it is warm and sunny and the next it is windy, cold and snowing. Throw in a few days of rain, fog and sleet and this is what we have been experiencing.

While taking a walk along the Ohio and Erie Canal I came upon this little Downy Woodpecker. These tiny birds are winter residents and seem to thrive in whatever our weather brings.

Excellent exposure that brings out the detail in the white feathers that s so often lost. We have them hee in Maryland allthorugh winter - they seem to be very hardy.
