[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This colorful tree frog is the largest tree frog in Ohio. Living in trees and shrubs it can change color from a light pearl gray to gray-green depending on its surroundings. The only area which will not change color is a tiny spot just below its eye. You can't see it from this pose, but the inside of its legs are a beautiful yellow color.

A great climber, it has sticky adhesive toe pads which enable it to easily climb even smooth surfaces. This particular frog was hiding inside a plastic pail which I was using to root sweet potato plants. I was just about to throw the container into the trash when I spotted it deep inside amongst a few broken off root ends. I placed him in my wood pile where hopefully it will find a new home.

Hi Ron,
Greatly composed photo with peerfect usage of flash (as always from you...) to get proper exposure. Sharpness and the shallow DoF is very impressive, probably you might add a little more contrast (very little indeed) through post-procession. Otherwise, without doubt, a stunner. Bravo!
Kind regards from Ireland, László
