[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This morning I was at the sanctuary and I was under the old tall Hemlocks feeding some hungry Chickadees, when I heard a different bird , looked up and right before me was this Hermit Thrush watching with great interest. It almost looked like it was asking me to feed it too!

The Hermit Thrush is about the only spotted Thrush that can be seen in North America from about Nov.-Mar. Their song is so sweet and I can't wait until Spring when they start their arias. This Thrush will flick it's wings and tail a lot more than the other Thrushes and are rather stocky and shorter winged.

Great shot Lesley, I love thrushes and this one is a new one on me. Good feather definition and it really stands out against the background.
Good note, thanks for sharing.

Interesting bird where is her second leg? :)
The little dots on her feathers have a heart shape.
Something in her head edges seem to be very odd.

Hi Lesley
A very well executed shot of this thrush , the Bg and the lighting - the one-legged stance is neat, adding the extra to lift it even higher, Well done

He's got good balance that's for sure. Nice POV and the bird really stands out from the OOF BG. Excellent shot Lesley.

Lovely capture Lesley. The diagonal of the hanger and the pose look great. Good work.

Very nice one Lesley! Great pose & POV with excellent details & I like the light colored BG with the pale green & browns. Well done. PS - Got the camera & lens. Fiqured out how to "push & pull" an accessory lens today! ;-)

Lesley, I think it is the first time I see a Thrush on TN. This one seems to possess only a single paw. Its song is beautifull.
Great PoV and splendid BG.
Great work. Thanks.

A beautiful capture of this Hermit Thrush. The color and detail are excellent. A great backround, and well framed. Great Work1

Excellent shot Lesley. I love it. I have never heard of such a thrush. In NZ they are darker and have 2 legs. (Just kidding.) I ilke the paler colours. Well done!

Nice shot Lesley, clear and sharp detail, the bg is great, making the bird stand out, did the bird only have a leg? Thanks for sharing

Great portrait Lesley, stunning BG. The face could be a bit more bright.
Well done.
TFS.

Great photo Lesley, but remains me one of skits of Monty Python, with Norwegian Parrot. Did you nail this poor birdie to twig ;-) ?

Very nice Lesley.
I like the soft light.
Very good details, POV , composition and Colours.
Great work.

Bardzo ³adne zdjêcie, dobrze wykadrowane i ostro¶æ tez OK.

Our's are not this beautifull. The softness is so nice in this shot. You were really close when you took this one. Fantastic capture, Lesley.

Great capture all round, the thing I like best is the relaxed pose with one foot up. Only a bird feeling safe will sit like that, so well done for not disturbing him ;-))

Deserves 40 points :)

Superb! Hermit thrushes are shy and not easy to catch on film. I just found your shot, Lesley--a great harbinger of springer until I hear (and if I'm lucky, see) one on the wing.

Hi Lesley,

Belle image de cette Grive solitaire (Hermit Thrush), j'adore le background.

Bravo !
