|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|I went for a walk through a "garden" cemetery the other day, near our home, where they were several large trees planted. A very large and very old oak tree was bordering the one end... |
It had just drizzled a bit and the leaves were wet. The day was a bit overcast. This tight "spray" or "cascade" of leaves about ten feet above the ground was bursting with different colors. I just could not pass up capturing this glorious display of the Creator's nature... becoming a personal favorite of mine.
I found this quote, very appropriate after the rain...
"Let us labor to make the heart grow larger as we become older, as spreading oak gives more shelter." - Richard Jeffries
Taken hand-held, auto everything, 12X zoom partially extended, some PP work in Photoshop CS2.

beautiful tones and soft colors that give a calm and peaceful feelings.
I like the droplets on the leaves as it strike additional aesthetic view.
Lovely composition that stands out from the soft smooth background.
Simple and exciting shot.
Such a beautiful presentation of autumn Larry, your vantage point was just right for this fine macro-perspective and the limited DOF isolated the multi coloured leaves rather nicely. Thanks for sharing this small piece of nature my friend.

A nicely composed image showing the beautiful fall coloring of the Oak leaves. The water droplets are a real bonus as they add that special eye catching touch!! Well done!!
Oak leaves very similar to this image, won me an award at a photo show back in the 1970's in Cleveland. The show was judged by André Kertész..
Good piece of calming work with all the right elements!
