26 wild turkey walked into our backyard today... drawn by the smell of bird seed around our feeders... they had a fine time scratching in the snow for fallen seed. This was one of them...

"It takes little talent to see what is under one's nose, a good deal of it to know in what direction to point that organ." - W.H. Auden

Taken hand-held, auto everything, 12X fully extended. Taken from upstairs bathroom window... it was snowing rather heavily at the time. Some PP work in Photoshop CS2.

Good POV and detail on the image under challenging circumstances.

That's quite the distance to get such good results with the camera Larry. I am impressed and using a model of the camera now of later in years...

Not much meat on these from what I hear. Never had one:-) Had lots of them in the wilderness though....as to the shot again...I like the Auden quote.....fits in good!

Hello Larry,
such a lovely turkey on a lively snow as canvas. The contrast is good and the details of the feather is seen in good pattern.
Original shot with snow flakes seen falling down.
Exciting view.
