[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I spotted these algae-covered turtles marching along a fallen palm tree at the Wakodahatchee Wetlands, a 50-acre water reclamation park in Delray Beach, Florida. The Florida Red-bellied Turtle (Pseudemys nelsoni) has a dome-shaped shell thatís highest in the middle. The shell of the Peninsula Cooter (Pseudemys floridana peninsularis) reaches its highest point one-third back, then slopes gradually to the rear. Looks like we might have one of each in this picture.
