Thought this might be a lil mallard duckling but unsure. All I know its the cutest lil guy and he gave me great eye contact. He was spotted during my trek through the Green Cay Wetlands in Delray Beach Florida

Hello Brenda,
A great shot of this little duck, showing excellent detail and beautiful coloration. I like the way she was captured swimming in this natural habitat of duckweed. Good eye contact and just the right exposure. Well done!!
I'm not 100% positive, but I don't think this is a young mallard as their bills are usually a yellowish olive green to an orangish color.

Hello Brenda,
A very fine capture of this cute little duck taken from a nice POV with great colours and sharpness.
The ID is a real puzzle!
This is definitely not a mallard!
The eye is too large, which suggests a juvenile wood Duck, as there is a little light colouring around the eye, but the plumage is not right for this species either! It may be a park species that is not native to the USA.
Nice shot anyway.
Thanks and enjoy your Sunday,
Ivan

Hello Brenda,

Hope you are doing fine. I am sorry I missed your photo, quite a surprise for me, for we are neighbours on the page.....smile. In the olive green moss covered water, the contrasting plumage of the little bird looks wonderful. The light is perfect and the close up sharply focused. The little fella seemed busy for his beak is covered with moss. It is a fine effort. Thanks a lot for sharing dear.....take care....warmest regards/Abid

Hi Brenda,
Beautiful composition with totally contradicting colours that makes your subject stand out. Soft natural colours, detail, POV and eye contact. Well done.
Best regards,
Carl

Hi Brenda,
A very uncommon composition, and also a difficult POV, but this is a very natural shot I think!
