I saw this green heron with a white
line that look like its mouth.
Angered! interesting and fanny.

The green heron is relatively small; adult body length is about 44 cm. The neck is often pulled in tight against the body.[1] Adults have a glossy, greenish-black cap, a greenish back and wings that are grey-black grading into green or blue, a chestnut neck with a white line down the front, grey underparts and short yellow legs. The bill is dark with a long, sharp point. Female adults tend to be smaller than males, and have duller and lighter plumage, particularly in the breeding season. Juveniles are duller, with the head sides, neck and underparts streaked brown and white, tan-splotched back, and greenish-yellow legs.

Exposure 10/3200

Hi Lawhill,
Brilliant colors and great exposure. The detail is outstanding and you had nice POV with excellent eye contact. Catching the bird in mid-step is a plus. Would be nice to see it in larger size. I'm glad you posted this, because I took a similar photo (not as sharp) and I could not identify the bird until now.
Best Wishes,

Hello Lawhill,
Very interesting bird. Even though we do have green herons in India, I have never come across one. You have capture it in a nice moment.Good pose. Good details and colours too. Good pOV and DOF. Thank you for sharing this photo.

Hello Lawhill,
This is a colorful little fellow that you captured with nice details, funny movement and good colors. The only problem is the size of the image. Why didn’t you post it in the maximum format permitted by this site? Anyway, this is a nice picture with interesting note. Thanks,

bonjour lawhill
je vous ai donné quelques explications dans le WS,ce que je vous ai presenté est juste pour que vous puissiez voir la taille que votre photo aurait pu faire.
il me semble qu'au naturel elle aurait été superbe.

I agree with the others - good detail in the wings. You captured the feeling of forward motion - he's stomping off angrily, huh?

Hello Lawhill,
Fine capture of a Green Heron with good colors, sharpness and composition. Nice pose too but it's a pity that this image is a little small.
TFS and best regards, Ivan
