Fisherbird’s Friend - V

- or "cheerleader"

This young brown pelican is fishing with its head almost under water. The gull seems to be cheering it on:

Some info on brown pelicans and technical difficulties encountered that apply here likewise you will find in Fisherbird’s Friend - IV
That post also shows how the head of the pelican looks :-)

Wow! Beautiful shot of these two birds! It's unusual to see a gull in the water with a pelican...great capture, Gabi!

Hello Gabi.
Very good moment you captured. Great sharpness, details and POV. Very good colours and lighting too. This is a very nice composition! Very well done. Thanks for posting.

Great shot, and you're right:"The gull seems to be cheering it ". I think thoug that the gull will try to sneak some of the prey as soon the pelican takes his head out of water! ;-)
Anyway they look like to buddys.

Regards, Petru

Très très joli cliché.
quel dommage que le pélican ait la tête dans l'eau !
beau cliché malgré cela !

Hi Gabi,
it's a wonderful moment with so pretty sunlight and wonderful colours.
I like it so much, thanks

Lovely shot Gabi!
I've noticed you start a new theme. It's very good idea.
This is another intersting shot with very good quality and framing.
I like it.

Hi Gabi,
You have done a great job with this series of four shots of fishing buddies. Exposure is excellent under some very difficult conditions. The colors and detail look great. Even at ISO 800 this has very low noise. Great moment captured.

Gabi, nice guys here.

I enjoy lighting and composition. A great moment that shows us nature as it is.

I agree with Scott: despite ISO 800, no noise.

An excellent job.

You've captured another great interaction between these two seabirds Gabi. Very well composed with good detail, light and color.
Well done & Thank You!

Hi Gabi, I think the gull is ready waiting to snatch the fish from the pelican as he comes out of the water! Great acton shot, well shown, thank you.

Very crisp & clear image of these two interacting on this well exposed image. :)
