White Ibis, Eudocimus albus
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Resting and drinking in a fresh water pond. The water in the saltmarsh will be too deep for them to wade until the tide starts to go out. The tides set the schedule for sea and shore birds, and bird photographers. I use a GPS with an automatic tide calculator, and also the solar/lunar tables that hunters and fishermen use. It isn't 100% accurate, but it helps me decide when, and where to go.|

a rare and moody shot of the White Ibis, excellent execution (composition, light, focus). It's beautiful to look at it.
