[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken in Florida, USA - the turtle is seen just breaking the surface. Interesting claws - and they look quite sharp. This photo was taken at a small water pond estuary near Tampa and I am on a wooded bridge just above the turtle about 8 feet up. Along with these interesting and larger sized turtles were crocodiles and water based birds of many species. The day was warm, however not far from this turtle rested a mid-sided croc that seemed to be watching it. The photo captured a slight glaze effect, perhaps a slight oily content within the water. I like the lines of color, looking like special armor or clothing worn by the turtle – an interesting camouflaged effect for the turtle.

Thanks for viewing.
