Burrowing Owl Mating Pair

|This pair of Burrowing Owls greeted me as I approached its nest in the ground. At first there was just the one bird standing perched, but soon it called, and out came the other half of this pair. I only spent a few minutes there photographing them so as not to cause any undue disturbance to the birds. The light was late afternoon, and somewhat hazy, but still bright enough for decent contrast and detail. The lack of very harsh direct sun actually served this shot well without washing out any of the details in the lighter areas.|

such a lovely pair. which one was male and which one female? i just love Owls! awwh, look at that RHS one. seems extremely angry on you as you were disturbing them during their prime time :D
